Larry Dell Alexander (born May 30, 1953) is an American artist, Christian author and Catechist from Dermott, Arkansas, in Chicot County.[1] Alexander is best known for his creations of elaborate colorful, and black & white "pen and ink" drawings in his "crosshatching", or "hatching" technique, and his acrylic paintings. His works not only depict the African-American experience but also the experiences of people throughout American history itself. He also received notoriety and a personal presidential thanks for his personal rendition of a "Clinton Family Portrait" oil painting which he gave to U.S. PresidentBill Clinton in 1995.[2] It is now a part of the collection at the Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock, Arkansas. He is also known for the Arkansas Schools Tours that he did between 1996 and 2006. Larry D. Alexander; Born May 30, 1953 in Dermott, Arkansas - is an American Artist and Author of Christian Literature.

In 2001 he wrote his first book entitled “African-American History at a Glance”, which he also illustrated himself with his “Pen & Ink” drawings of various African-American heroes. This book was used to help create a supplemental text, which was put together to improve the American History curriculum in the Irving, Texas high schools in 2002. In May of 2006, he released his second book, which focuses on his calling by GOD, to teach the Holy Scriptures. It is entitled “Sunday school lessons from the book of the Acts of the Apostles”, the first of a trilogy to be released over a 12-month period. It was followed in October of 2006 with the second book of the trilogy, “Sunday school lessons from the Gospel according to John Mark”, with the third book, “Sunday school lessons from the Apostle
