Sr. Helena Burns, F.S.P., is a member of the Daughters of St. Paul, an international congregation founded to communicate God's Word through the media. She is the movie reviewer for the Catholic New World, Chicago’s archdiocesan newspaper. Burns is currently writing and producing a documentary on the life of Blessed James Alberione and is a co-producer on 40, a pro-life documentary. She is a regional vocation director for her congregation and author of He Speaks to You (2012), a book for young women. Burns has been giving media and theology of the body workshops to youth and adults across the United States and Canada since the 1990s. Burns holds a B.A. in theology and philosophy from St. John's University, New York; she also studied screenwriting at UCLA and Act One, Hollywood and holds a Certificate in Pasto

Sr. Helena Burns, FSP, is a member of the Daughters of St. Paul, an international congregation of Women Religious founded to live and communicate Christ in and through the media culture. She gives Media Literacy and Theology of the Body workshops to youth and adults all over Canada and the U.S., and believes that media can be a primary tool for sharing God's love and salvation. She is a dual--not duel--citizen: an AmeriCanadian.
Sr. Helena has an M.A. in Media Literacy Education, a B.A. in theology and philosophy from St. John's University, NYC, studied screenwriting at UCLA and Act One, Hollywood and holds a Certificate in Pastoral Youth Ministry. Sr. Helena also attended the Theology of the Body Institute in Pennsylvania. She is a movie reviewer for Life Teen & The Catholic Channel at Sirius XM. She wrote and directed a documentary on the life of Blessed James Alberione, Media Apostle: The Father James Alberione Story, and is a co-producer on The 40 Film. She has written a Theology of the Body curriculum, What Does It Mean to Be Human: A  Film critic at LifeTeen and The Catholic Channel on Sirius XM, as well as on her site Hell Burns, Sister Helena Burns is a member of the Daughters of St. Paul, an international congregation that focuses on media and runs the Pauline Center for Media Studies, in Los Angeles. Sister Helena studied screenwriting at UCLA and Act One, Hollywood, while her master’s is in media literacy education. She earned her bachelor’s in theology and philosophy from St. John's University. Having completed an additional certification in pastoral youth ministry, Sr. Helena continues her studies at the Theology of the Body Institute, near Philadelphia. She wrote and directed Media Apostle: The Father James Alberione Story, a documentary on the life of Blessed James Alberione, and is a co-producer on www.The40film.com, a documentary exploring the forty years since Roe v Wade.
