Guy is known the world over for his portrayal of Lieutenant Gruber, one of the original and enduring characters of over 90 episodes of 'Allo 'Allo! which is one of the most successful comedy series the B.B.C. has ever produced and is still shown in more than 80 countries.

Guy was born in Manhattan to an American father and an English mother. He was educated in England and trained for the stage at the Webber Douglas Academy in London where he won the Rodney Millington Award for his performance as The Emcee in Cabaret. In a career of some 50 years he has become a household name in the U.K. both in theatre and television. In recent years he has spent much of his time working in the film industry in Los Angeles but is now based in London where he juggles two careers - actor and writer/producer. With his producing partner David Mansell he runs Einstein Films, with several movies in development.

Guy Siner (New York, 16 oktober1947) is een Brits-Amerikaans acteur. Hij is vooral bekend als Lieutenant Hubert Grüber in de Britse comedy-serie 'Allo 'Allo!.

In het begin van de jaren 70 debuteerde Siner op televisie. Zijn eerste bekende (gast-)rol was in een aflevering van Doctor Who in 1974. Hierna speelde hij een klein rolletje als bediende in de BBC-miniserie I Claudius uit 1976.

De meest prominente rol in zijn carrière was die van de homoseksueel getinte luitenant Hubert Grüber in de langlopende BBC-komedie 'Allo 'Allo, die hij vanaf de eerste tot de laatste aflevering bleef vervullen. Guy Siner speelde ook een kleine rol in BBC-serie Secret Army, de serie waarop Allo Allo gebaseerd is. In aflevering 4 van seizoen 3 ('A Save Place') speelt hij een Duitse agent die de drie Britse piloten afluistert in hun onderduikadres.

Guy Siner has enjoyed a long and fruitful acting career spanning more than 30 years. For many people around the world, he is instantly recognizable as the sexually ambiguous German officer, Lieutenant Gruber, from the British sitcom "'Allo 'Allo!," which is one of the most successful programs in the history of the BBC. During the show's run, from 1982 to 1992, Siner appeared in over 90 episodes. When it finished production, he relocated to the United States (where he was born). In 1995, he made his television debut on an episode of the influential sitcom "Seinfeld." Following that appearance, he could be seen in more American productions, such as playing a prison official in David Lynch's weird and creepy "Lost Highway" in 1997, and the harbormaster who greets the character Jack Sparrow in 2003's "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl."
